I chose to be a little late with this entry because, 1) I was really really not in the mood to blog yesterday, it was my holiday! And 2) I needed to wait a day more for more, ahem, interesting content.
When I went back to work this week I was practically dragging my feet. For the past 3 weeks, I’ve gotten so used to the ritual of getting days off work so I could attend the filming of The Rookie. This week, however, was a lull, because we wouldn’t be filming till next week. And boy, was I uncomfortable.
But work still had its interesting elements. There’s an exciting campaign coming up, so we planned for that. I did some ghostwriting for the organisation’s blog again. More laughs with my favourite colleague I, who is leaving next week. I’m really going to miss him. My friend A is also flying off to India next week for a company trip, and so I think I’m going to be very lonely girl for the three days I have to spend in the office next week. Bah.
Then there were the friends. I met F for my usual Monday shisha. I like to call every Monday a day to end off with shisha. And talking to F always reminds me to get grounded, to maintain my sense of sanity and maturity even in spite of a whirlwind that is called my life. That Monday, we watched The Island while we smoked - damn, it’s my new favourite show!
Met my favourite girls at Dempsey on the eve of our long holiday too. For the first time in almost 6 months, it was all 8 of us once again (that hardly happens) and so we had a lot to talk about. Lots of hugs, martinis, and laughter that night.
Also spent some time with R after his shifts. I would sit and watch him close up the shop, and talk to himself as he counted the money - what a priceless moment! Yesterday we caught Sex and the City 2, and after that took a long walk from town back to Holland Village. It took us about an hour and a half - that wasn’t half bad in my opinion, because we had each other. That said, it was the best walk ever. <3
And the week hasn’t even ended, yet! I’ll be meeting some of my very missed loves from The Rookie for another great night out. Yes, we all can’t keep our eyes off each other, already. Whoever said contestants needed to be truly competitive all the time? They’re my new family already. (:
